  1. What We Want

    1. Sex and art, in their various modes, have the potential to mix and fuse together in compelling and enlightening ways. They also have the potential to collide head-on in a fiery disaster. Our intent is to sort out the successes from the disasters, and examine sexuality and eroticism in our mass media. We're looking for knowledgeable reviews of erotic books, movies, music, websites, products, and more.
    2. Books: fiction or non-fiction about nearly any sexual inclination. Anthologies are fine. We prefer more contemporary works, but feel free to pitch ideas to us.
    3. Movies: in current release or on video.
    4. Music: anything that can be found on CD and has a sexual theme or is simply good for having sex to. Classical or contemporary.
    5. Web sites: there are millions of erotic-themed websites, but few with good content and presentation. Help us find them.
    6. Products: if you have knowledge of some sex toy that no sock drawer should be without, let us know.
    7. More?: if you want to review something that doesn't fit in the above categories, feel free to pitch the idea.
  2. Criteria
    1. Pitch ideas via email before submitting reviews. Submit links to pieces you have online if you have them. Once we give the OK, email us a review within a week.
    2. Reviews should be free of spelling and grammar errors. They should also be 750-1250 words. Do not email it as an attachment; include it in the body of the email with the subject: "Reviews Sub: your title."
    3. A couple of obvious things. Try to keep the number of spoilers low; most people like surprises. Also, it'd be in bad taste to review your own work in a devious attempt at publicity, but feel free to send us a review copy; we have an eager group of staffers ready and willing to sample your work.
  3. Payment
    1. The prestige and notoriety of having written for Clean Sheets... but no money, sorry.
    2. There are some side benefits. You're free to shamelessly plug anything you want in your short bio at the bottom of your review. A review for Clean Sheets is great for building a clip portfolio.
  4. Response Time
    1. Instantaneous to one week, usually. If we don't respond in a reasonable amount of time, try again; your email may have been lost.
  5. Send those questions and ideas to reviews@cleansheets.com
